  • Protected Customer Fields (only if explicitly approved): Includes names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers, solely to provide essential features like email notifications or referral credits.

    We limit data collection to only what is necessary for the app’s functionality, in compliance with Shopify’s data minimization standards.

We use collected data to:
 

  • Create and manage cashback campaigns and store credit issuance

  • Send email alerts when credits are earned or nearing expiration

  • Support referral programs and campaign automation

    This usage aligns with the functional needs of the app and Shopify’s protected customer data guidelines

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures—such as encryption, access controls, and secure backups—to safeguard personal data. Backups and test data are segregated from production data if protected fields are in use  .

    We will honor requests in accordance with Shopify’s compliance webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact

As a public Shopify App, CashBack Hero adheres to Shopify’s protected customer data standards while handling Admin or Customer Account APIs. We request only essential data and participate in Shopify’s review processes where required  .
